The National Federation of WIs has been very concerned about the disruption the prolonged lockdown periods have had on WI meetings and activities and membership experience for the past 12 months. As a result, NFWI is allowing individual WI’s to set their own figure for their portion of the annual subscription for all new and renewing membership subscriptions.
All new or returning Members can therefore join Lickey WI
from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 for just £33,
saving 25% on the full rate annual subscription!
A couple of face-to-face gatherings were held over the summer of 2020 but during the current government restrictions, Lickey WI is embracing alternative options such as using Zoom for meetings. Under the Rule of Six, small groups were able to meet in person but all meetings are now held over Zoom. The Committee is maintaining contact with all Members by telephone or email. The Worcestershire Federation is also offering a range of approximately weekly virtual events including quizzes, talks and craft activities – “in-house” events are available free to every County Member but where an outside speaker has been engaged a fee is payable by Members. Non-members can participate for a slightly higher fee.
The last 12 months have highlighted the importance of knowing your local community and supporting each other so this is a brilliant time to Try the WI!
PLEASE NOTE: INDOOR MEETINGS OF LICKEY WI WILL RESUME SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF TRINITY CENTRE

The Women’s Institute (WI) was founded in 1915 and currently has almost 200,000 members across more than 6,000 WIs. The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.
Group Meetings are normally held twice a year and other joint activities are organised such as the monthly Group Walks.
Lickey WI normally meets on at 7.30 pm on the first Tuesday of the month at Lickey Parish Hall (also known as the Trinity Centre) opposite Holy Trinity Church, Lickey unless otherwise stated on the Programme page. See Directions page for details.
